AI-assisted report writing: Tracelia drafts the text. You choose every word.

In Tracelia, the AI drafts from your findings: analysis, conclusions, recommendations, cost estimate. You review, correct or rewrite each draft, by keyboard or by dictation, then you approve it. The report assembles only what you approved, and you sign it alone.

Illustrative sketch: a water stain on the ceiling, dimensioned 80 × 45 cm, near the corner of the wall.
A ceiling stain and its measured dimensions: where every analysis starts.
“At zero slope, the ponding near that drain is not a defect in itself; the flashing is: NF DTU 43.1 requires at least 0.15 m above the ballast.”

« À pente nulle, la flache relevée près de cette entrée n’est pas en soi un défaut ; le relevé, si : le NF DTU 43.1 exige au moins 0,15 m au-dessus de la protection. »

Translated from a sample draft analysis written in French: the measurement taken, the standard cited with its value, the doubt in writing.

On one demo case: what the AI puts in front of you, and what you do with it. Interface shown in French.

What it reads

It starts from what you saw.

The draft is prepared from your findings: a location, your observation typed or dictated on site.

If it states a fact you didn’t observe, you take it out before you approve.

Tracelia was designed for French practice: analyses refer to French codes of practice (NF DTU) where relevant.

A locationEach finding carries its own.
Your observationTyped or dictated on site, with a mic on every field.
The caseIts context, as you entered it.
The groundThe Géorisques context for the address: clay, flooding, disaster declarations.
The type of defectCracks, roofing, facade, water damage: the analysis is tailored to the finding.
ReferencesNF DTU, Eurocodes, NF standards, French statutes: looked up, cited, for you to check.

What it writes

What’s established. What’s still to check.

On a leak at the edge of a flat roof: the measurements taken, the standard cited with its value, the probable cause, then what still needs checking.

Uncertainty isn’t erased. It’s written down.

Analyse du constatBase flashing too low, parapet leak

establishedMoisture-meter readings within the 80 × 45 cm ceiling stain are three times those of a sound area nearby.

establishedDirectly above, the base flashing has pulled away from the parapet over 1.20 m and stands only 8 cm above the gravel ballast. Measured slope: 0.5%; a single roof drain, no overflow.

probable causeAt zero slope, the ponding near that drain is not a defect in itself; the flashing is: NF DTU 43.1, France’s code of practice for waterproofing low-slope roofs, requires at least 0.15 m above the ballast. With no overflow, water from a heavy rain can reach the detached section: that is the probable cause.

to be verifiedA localized water test must confirm this path and rule out the drain flange.

limitI cannot establish how long the flashing has been detached, or whether it already was at handover.

One draft per step. Never the report.

Each step gets its draft; the report assembles only what you approved.

Approval stays in your hands.

Until you approve an analysis, the finding stays pending review. The report can be generated only once the required steps are approved.

6 in 10

In production, the expert approves 6 out of 10 AI-drafted texts unedited, after reading them. The expert edits the other 4 before approving: that’s what the review is for.

Refine

Say what’s wrong. No retyping.

A passage isn’t right? Dictate an instruction (in French, like the interface; translated here): “be more cautious about the origin of the crack,” “drop the reference to NF DTU 20.1 and rephrase.” Tracelia proposes a new version and flags every block it changed.

You compare block by block, keep or reject each change, then approve. The original draft stays as it is until you decide.

ConclusionsFictional case

Tracelia’s Conclusions screen pending review: the version proposed after Refine flags a changed block, with Block view and Reject buttons (fictional case).
The proposed version, with the changed block flagged. Cracking on clay soil: the conclusion defers the question of cause to a geotechnical (G5) investigation, as you would have written it. You keep or reject each change. Interface shown in French. Enlarge

III. Sign-off

Tracelia changes nothing on its own. It shows you where to look.

Before you edit an approved analysis, Tracelia lists the sections that depend on it: conclusions, recommendations, cost estimate, report.

The analysis goes back to pending review. Each affected section comes back to you for a fresh approval.

Interface shown in French.

01You edit the analysis.
02You review the flagged sections.
03You reread and re-approve.

You remain the sole signatory.

AI in TraceliaTracelia uses a generative AI model to draft an analysis from your site findings. AI can make mistakes: you review, edit and approve every report, and you sign it as the responsible expert.

Questions

Your questions.

Can Tracelia’s AI make mistakes?

Yes. It can suggest an unlikely cause, an inaccurate wording or a claim your findings don’t support. That’s why no draft reaches the report without your review and approval.

How does a fact you didn’t observe stay out of the report?

The draft is prepared from your findings. If it states a fact you didn’t observe, you take it out before approving: no draft reaches the report without your approval.

Who is the author of the report?

You are. The AI drafts; you correct, approve and sign the report as the responsible expert. The report carries your firm’s identity and format.

Does the AI price the work for you?

It proposes lines; you settle the estimate. Each line shows its origin: rule, AI or your own entry. You adjust prices and quantities, then accept the estimate.

Expert cost estimate, given as a range; not a contractor quote.

Are my cases used to train AI models?

No. The terms rule it out: they grant no right to train models on your cases. Your cases are not used as training data without your separate, specific and freely given consent.

Does the AI work in English?

Not today. Tracelia, its interface, its drafts and its reports are in French, and analyses follow French practice.

Does the AI cite standards?

Yes, where they apply: NF DTU, Eurocodes, NF standards, and French statutes (Civil Code, Construction and Housing Code, Insurance Code). It looks them up on the web while drafting and names them in the text of the draft, without a list of links. A cited reference can be inaccurate or out of date: you check it against the current edition before you approve.
